About Me

I must be some sort of narcissist to have an entire page on my own blog dedicated to talking about myself. In no way am I denying that. Having said that, here's an incoherent list of things that describe me in a vague, superficial way.

I spend a lot of time studying. Like hours on end. People pity me when they hear how much I study, but I suppose that's what happens when you're an engineer who's really mediocre at math and science. I strongly dislike my major, but I'm in my fourth year so it'll be over soon enough. My first two years of college were incredibly painful. Dedicating all of my time to something I hated threw me into a depression, but I'm proud to say that I've taught myself to cope with it well.

You sit there and you ask yourself, how did she do that? I make sure to do something I love every day. Learning new songs on the piano, for example. Or repeatedly playing old favorites. Wasting endless pages in my sketchbook with drawings inspired by shows or song lyrics or passing thoughts. Writing journal entries (which are essentially transcriptions of the monologues I have in my head when I pretend that I'm some sort of movie protagonist). Reading books that fill me with the hope that my life will be interesting one day. Practicing yoga because I want to learn how to do cool tricks. Even standing in front of my closet picking outfits makes me happy. Actually, I'd say that picking my outfit is consistently one of my favorite parts of the day.

My favorite movie is either Howl's Moving Castle or Kimi No Na Wa. The soundtracks from both of those are incredible. I love listening to music that makes my heart ache or race or beat happily in its little heart compartment. My favorite color is pink (if you couldn't already tell from my blog design). My favorite shows are Haikyuu!!, Yuri!!! On Ice, Akagami no Shirayuki Hime, New Girl, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Modern Family. I am in the process of learning to not use straws or napkins (napkins being the real challenge here).

Welp, I've reached the point where I'm sitting here thinking of what else to say, so I think I'm out. Kudos to you for reading this far. Have a nice day!
